KELANDAH

KELANDAH was born from the idea that two legendary Malay regions I deeply admire Kelantan and Kedah could achieve a perfect harmony within a single codistillation.

A great deal of time went into finding the balance between them. True codistillation is far more than simply placing different woods into the same still. Every wood carries its own structure, density, resin behaviour, and movement during distillation. Through small test distillations, adjustments, and observations, the profile slowly found its own natural flow and eventually became one complete composition.

As always at mesOUD, only truly wild incense grade woods were used for distillation.

This became the kind of codistillation where each wood was able to tell its own story without interruption.

The opening feels cool, airy, and quietly luminous; white tea nuances moving through a dark green dense jungle atmosphere alongside subtle citrus facets resting over deep resinous woods. Soon after, the oil begins revealing its signature cola-like facets woven with cinnamon bark, star anise, tropical woods, warm resin, soft vanillic tones, and slowly shifting spices.

KELANDAH continues unfolding for hours without ever losing its balance or character  a true symphony where every note remains exactly where it is meant to be, moving in perfect harmony.

KELANDAH is not simply the result of good raw material becoming a good oil; it is a codistillation that reflects what true artisanal distillation is meant to be ,patience, precision, restraint, intuition, and complete respect for the material from beginning to end.
